Leander ISD Council of PTAs is pleased to announce our 2024-25 scholarship program for graduating high school students!
The Council of PTAs wishes to recognize the outstanding efforts and personal achievements of our student PTSA members and their commitment to backing the future with PTA.
Students may submit their application digitally or physically using the Student Scholarship online form, or by delivering printed materials to their high school counselors' office, labeled "LISD Council of PTAs Scholarship." Applications are due by March 25, 2025, 4 p.m. Students must be a PTA member by March 25, 2025.

Guidelines for Submission
Applicants must:
Be a student graduating from a high school in Leander ISD.
Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited college or university or a vocation/technical institute in the summer or fall semester immediately following his/her high school graduation.
Attend a high school in Leander ISD whose PTA/PTSA is a member of Leander ISD Council of PTAs and is in Good Standing with Texas PTA.
Be a member of the PTA/PTSA at their high school. (Do you need to join PTA? Visit your school's PTA website store or JoinPTA.org.) If your high school does not have a PTA/PTSA, the student may join another PTA that is in good standing.
The Scholarship Committee must receive all completed scholarship applications and required paperwork no later than the posted deadlines to be eligible for consideration.
Applications will be reviewed by a team of adjudicators using a recommended rubric.
All applications must include the following to be eligible:
A typewritten, double-spaced 250-500 word essay describing your goals and how the PTA has helped you to formulate and achieve those goals.
List your accomplishments in high school to include the following categories: special honors/recognition, awards, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and your work experience.
List your involvement with PTA at your school, at other schools, and at the Council and State level. Include your experience such as organizing or volunteering at PTA events, serving on PTA boards or committees, volunteering at the Clothes Closet, and participating in PTA events and programs.
A letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or principal of the school you are currently attending.
Copy of your transcript.
Copy of acceptance letter (if available by application deadline).
Notification of Award
Each recipient has 90 days from the date of the awarding of the scholarship to request funds.
A check for the amount of the scholarship will be written to the institution of learning, once verification of enrollment is received by the Scholarship Committee.
